JCAC Team 5B Field Trip
The 5th-grade teachers of Team 5B at Johnson Crossing Academic Center are seeking a grant of $245 to help fund a field trip for all their students to the Kiewit Luminarium. This hands-on experience, which connects to all curricular areas, is especially important as many of their students would not otherwise have the opportunity for such an outing. The total cost for student admittance and busing can be up to $1,000, and while the team uses snack proceeds to help cover expenses, it is not enough. Following the trip, students will write reflections on their experience.
