The Fremont Public School Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024 Creative Teaching Grant Awards. The FPS Foundation Board of Directors, based on the work of the Selection Committee, awarded $3,473.98 in grants to support innovative teaching ideas that will directly impact more than 750 students in grades K-12. The awarded grants cover a wide range of topics and initiatives, including the creation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activity bins, field trips, materials to support a multisensory approach to reading instruction, dual language fiction and nonfiction library materials, support for cultural and community experiences for newcomer students, and the purchase of an embroidery machine for the Makerspace at the Fremont High School Media Center.
Since 2009, the FPS Foundation has awarded more than $80,000 in Creative Teaching Grants to support innovative teaching ideas from classroom teachers. We are proud to continue this tradition of investing in our educators and students, and we look forward to seeing the impact these grants will have on teaching and learning in our schools.
The Creative Teaching Grants are funded through donations given in memory of individuals who have passed.
