Winners Crowned at the 2025 Jim Ebers Classic Golf Tournament
The annual Jim Ebers Classic Golf Tournament, held on July 14 at the Fremont Golf Club, saw enthusiastic participation from golfers in support of the Fremont Public Schools Foundation. With beautiful weather and camaraderie, the event was a great success, raising significant funds for the Foundation's initiatives.
Chuck Johannsen served as the Honorary Starter (with a little help from Bo Shanahan), kicking off the tournament on a high note. The spirit of friendly competition filled the air as teams competed across three flights and a women's division.
In the 1st Flight, the team consisting of Matt Burg, Matt Thernes, TJ Roffers, and Keith Eriksen emerged victorious with a score of -19. The 2nd Flight saw Turner Dahl, Alex Kraenow, Alex Haase, and Mark Uhlir secure the win with a score of -10. In the 3rd Flight, Terry Seawall and team clinched the top spot with a score of -7. The Women's Division was won by Diane Beninato, Erica Kobza, Apryl Beck, and Jill Lamprecht.
The tournament brought together more than 100 golfers, who enjoyed a day on the greens while contributing to teacher grants, student scholarships, and classroom enhancements across Fremont Public Schools.
